The GCSU Homecoming week is quickly approaching, and with that comes one of the most popular and exciting events of the week . . .
The Homecoming Parade!
Saturday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m
Let’s put that into perspective . . . This means you only have THREE weekends left to build that awesome float so it can be ready to “Thunder Down Hancock” and win the first place prize. If you keep waiting until the last minute you’ll be using 10,000 sticky notes and scotch tape to decorate because some other group raided the Dollar Store and got all the crepe paper.
Even if you don’t want to put in a float but you have a “Cool Ride” we welcome those as well. Bring your Monster Truck/Jeep, John Deere tractor, Bicycle, Unicycle, Lawnmower, if it rolls we would love to see it “Thundering Down Hancock” as well.
The parade is not just for students either . . . academic and administrative departments, clubs, faculty groups, etc. are encouraged to enter as well.
All parade entrants will need to register. The registration form will be available under the Parade section listed under Saturday’s events on the Homecoming website (http://www2.gcsu.edu/homecoming/) or you can click here and register if you just want the form.
Please fill out the form completely so we can put you in the perfect spot in the lineup --- but don’t let the registration process stop you from beginning to build your Rose Bowl quality-like float. There are prizes for the top three floats!
Best of luck to those participating and have fun!
